Valentina Weddings & Events, founded in 2016 by Valentina Porro, is a full-service luxury wedding planning and design company based in North County San Diego, working in Lake Como and worldwide.
In Southern California, our celebrations include weddings at Rancho Valencia, Alila Marea, The Lodge at Torrey Pines and Estancia La Jolla, and we often travel to the destinations selected by our couples.
With a balance of structure and creativity, we create celebrations that are as refined as they are meaningful, where design and production are planned together from the first meeting, and every moment unfolds exactly as envisioned. Our role is to bring your unique vision to life in a way that feels deeply personal and memorable, while ensuring each element is thoughtfully curated and executed.
To ensure the level of artistry, attention, and flawless execution each celebration deserves, we accept a carefully curated number of weddings each year. This intentional approach allows us to give each couple our complete attention.

Born in Switzerland and raised on Lake Como, Valentina brings a distinctly European approach to her work as a full-service wedding planner in San Diego. Her background working within luxury venues and catering operations, combined with her European upbringing, gives her a rare dual perspective: the eye of a designer and the operational expertise of a hospitality professional.
Growing up along the shores of Lake Como, Valentina was surrounded by villas, gardens, and celebrations where beauty and precision existed in perfect harmony. This European sensibility taught her that true elegance is intentional, refined, and deeply personal, never ostentatious or loud. It is a philosophy that shapes every design decision she makes today.

We design and produce multi-day wedding weekends, with full production teams, venue-specific design and a timeline built around every guest's experience, from the first site visit to the final farewell brunch. We also plan single-day weddings and accept a limited number of celebrations each year.

Drawing inspiration from my European heritage and upbringing along Lake Como, I bring a perspective shaped by Italian artistry, craftsmanship, and the understanding that true elegance is never loud. It's in the proportion of a floral arrangement, the linen weight and the table height, all reviewed in a mockup before the final order is placed.
